We all have moments when we want to crown ourselves. Because the moments that make life shine become memories and are placed in our hearts like jewels, our lives feel precious and exist as even more shining memories.

Shin Ye-jin’s crown begins with a gift to herself. It will become a hope and a jewel in your life, making your life shine even brighter. The crown in Shin Ye-jin’s work expresses the moment when the crown shines through darkness and brightness, difficulty and happiness, and this resembles our lives. This is a work about finding your own crown in life from the past to the present and the future, and confirming that you are the most shining being in life. In her work, she seeks to find the symbolic meaning of the crown, emphasize the weight and meaning of life, and express the diversity and beauty of life.

We always reminisce about the past, fill the present, and dream of the future. In particular, her works “Genesis” and “My Road” contain shining moments that we must discover in the process. “Genesis” contains messages of hope and comfort that nature silently conveys to us, leading us to dig deep into ourselves and discover ourselves. We reflect on the essence of our existence that we are losing, and through the crown, we are reminded that we are the protagonists of our lives. “My Road” unfolds the journey of life through colors and traces, depicting the process of our lives gradually becoming complete through darkness and light. It contains the hope that all of our experiences will become one piece and shine, and that light will become our own crown and brighten our future. These works are connected to each person’s inner self and show the process of discovering ourselves anew through a harmonious relationship with nature.
