“Life itself is tension”

Straight lines can be the visual limit we can see. Can that straight line stretches forever? Is it not that you are mistaken in looking at parts of an infinite circle? The road through which the bike passed appears a straight line. That straight line is the trail left by the round wheel spinning. A circle is a straight line and a straight line can be a circle.

Many of the things we currently believe to be truth can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Inner conflict, others, ideology, religion, race, etc. From small debates starting from differences to big wars, our lives are a continuation of tension every moment, eventually heading towards death.

We are all others to each other. We live in finite life, infinite space and time. Starting from recognizing the difference we have from each other, if you live with respect and love others!

From the Philosophy of ‘The Other’ by Emmanuel Levinas (1906-1995), Levinas defines ‘The Other’ as an eternal ‘the other’ who cannot be involved, ruled, or dragged into one’s thought.

With a tight tension relationship between straight lines and curves on the canvas, I want to express the aura of ‘peace’ in solid color.
