Discontinuous Seeing

2022. 5. 12 – 6. 16
Bae Joon Sung

The Costume of Painter _ the girl in yellow dress, lenticular, 45×45cm, No. 1-20, 2022

Was Gallery will hold a solo exhibition by Bae Joon-sung from May 12 to June 16, 2022. Painter Bae Joon-sung shares the unique experience of seeing and drawing something by combining lenticular (a print that changes the design or expresses a three-dimensional effect depending on the angle of view using lenticular lenses) and painting.

The exhibition pays attention to the fact that Bae Joon-sung’s work is drawn from the discontinuity of the act of seeing and drawing, and that a multi-layered image coexists. This exhibition aims to provide visitors with an opportunity to experience the characteristics of special visual behavior through lenticular works combining images of different time and space and canvas works in which virtual and reality are mixed.
