[About]
Curated by Kim Yoonseop, under the overall planning of Yoon Beommo, this exhibition is based on the major works presented at this year’s Art Center’s large-scale exhibition “” and draws from a selection of 270 pieces from the Park Saengkwang · Park Laehyun exhibition at the Art Center, supplemented by exceptional works not shown in the previous exhibition through the collaboration of the GaNa Cultural Foundation.

This showcase presents around 40 representative masterpieces meticulously selected by Yoon Beommo, who has dedicated himself to art criticism and curation for over 30 years, to reveal the artistic realms of the two chosen artists.

“For Kiaf SEOUL, we’ve prepared a special exhibition to revive the glory of colored painting, aspiring to illuminate the splendor of our traditional colored-centered Korean painting,” as expressed by Yoon Beommo, encapsulates the sentiment behind this exhibition. It is our hope that this exhibition of two Korean painting masters’ leap into modern Korean painting beyond the foundations of our traditional art will provide a significant opportunity for both domestic and international art enthusiasts to appreciate exceptional traditional Korean art.
