Introduction
Founded in 1999 by Sabine Vazieux, the gallery is specialized in postwar Western and Asian abstract painting. Convinced that ties between galleries and institutions strengthen the shared goal of familiarising the general public and collectors with artists’ works, Sabine Vazieux is also an exhibition curator. She organised, amongst others, the exhibition ‘From China to Taiwan’ in the Musée d’Ixelles (Belgium) in 2017, and more recently the exhibition ‘Landscape of the Soul’ at the Asian Art Museum in Nice (France) in 2021.
The gallery also participates in European and Asian art fairs (Art Basel Hong Kong, Taipei Dangdai, KIAF Seoul, Art SG, Art Paris Art Fair…). The uncompromising artistic discernment have enabled Galerie Vazieux to introduce the works of major artists into the collections of international museums, such as those of the Centre Pompidou and M+ Museum.
At Kiaf 2025, Galerie Vazieux presents a duo exhibition of Lee Ungno and Park In-Kyung, a historical artist couple. Based in Paris, Galerie Vazieux has maintained a special relationship with Lee Ungno's family, who settled there. Following a co-organized exhibition with the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong, the gallery is pleased to share the intertwined artistic world of Lee Ungno and Park In-kyung with Korean audiences.
