2015년 서울 강남 신사동 가로수길에 개관한 2GIL29 GALLERY는 현대미술을 국내외에 적극적으로 소개하며, 한국 미술시장에서 중요한 문화적 소통의 창구로 자리매김해 왔습니다. 회화, 조각, 설치, 영상 등 다양한 시각 예술을 선보이며, 동시대 예술의 다양성과 실험성을 포용하고 있습니다.
‘지속 가능한 예술을 향한 예술가의 치열성’은 이길이구 갤러리의 전시 기준이자 철학입니다. 저희는 고독하고 어려운 환경 속에서도 묵묵히 작업을 지속해온 예술가들의 궤적에 주목하며, 그런 예술가들이 쉼 없이 작업을 이어갈 수 있도록 장기적인 관점에서 전시를 기획하고 지원합니다. 30대, 40대의 집중적인 작업기를 지나 60대, 70대에도 여전히 동시대성과 예술성을 유지하며 작업을 지속할 수 있는 작가들과의 긴 호흡을 지향합니다.

We embrace a diverse range of visual practices without being limited to specific genres, spanning painting, sculpture, installation, and media art. Our core philosophy is rooted in the "relentless pursuit of sustainable art," focusing on the authentic journey of artists who remain dedicated to their craft regardless of their environment. We value long-term partnerships, supporting artists from their 30s through their 70s to ensure their artistic vision continues to evolve over a lifetime. By breaking genre boundaries, we foster deep dialogue between artists and the public while expanding our global presence through active international exchanges.
