Gallery 41은 1993년 인사동에서 설립된 종로갤러리가 축적해 온 역사와 전시 경험을 바탕으로, 동시대 미술의 새로운 흐름과 가능성을 모색하기 위해 출범한 Project Space입니다.
오랜 시간 미술 현장에서 작가와 작품, 관객을 연결해 온 경험을 토대로 하되, 그 역사에 머무르기보다 변화하는 예술의 흐름을 능동적으로 읽고 새로운 시각과 언어를 구축하는 작가를 발굴하고 소개합니다. 장르와 세대, 매체의 경계를 넘어 서로 다른 작업이 새로운 맥락 안에서 만날 수 있도록 전시와 기획을 이어가며, 작가의 작업 세계가 보다 깊이 있게 구축되고 국내외 미술 현장으로 확장될 수 있는 기반을 만들어가고자 합니다.
Gallery 41은 작품을 선보이는 공간을 넘어 작가의 실험과 갤러리의 시선, 관객의 경험이 교차하며 새로운 의미와 관계가 형성되는 열린 플랫폼을 지향합니다. 1993년부터 이어져 온 경험과 신뢰를 기반으로 동시대 미술의 다양한 목소리를 발견하고 연결하며, 오늘의 예술이 새로운 가치와 가능성으로 이어질 수 있도록 작가와 함께 지속적인 방향을 만들어갑니다.

Gallery 41 is a project space founded upon the history and extensive exhibition experience of Jongno Gallery, established in Insa-dong, Seoul, in 1993. Building on this legacy, Gallery 41 was launched to explore emerging currents and new possibilities within contemporary art.
Drawing on decades of experience connecting artists, artworks, and audiences, Gallery 41 looks beyond its history to engage actively with the evolving landscape of contemporary art. The gallery is committed to discovering and presenting artists who develop distinctive perspectives and artistic languages, while creating opportunities for diverse practices to encounter one another across boundaries of genre, generation, and medium. Through its exhibitions and curatorial projects, Gallery 41 seeks to provide a foundation from which artists can deepen their practices and expand their presence within both the Korean and international art scenes.
More than a space for presenting artworks, Gallery 41 envisions itself as an open platform where artistic experimentation, the gallery’s curatorial perspective, and the experience of the audience intersect to generate new meanings and relationships. Grounded in the experience and trust cultivated since 1993, Gallery 41 continues to discover and connect diverse voices in contemporary art, working closely with artists to shape lasting trajectories through which the art of today can develop into new values and possibilities.
