Tour to the Artist’s Studio and Networking

Seoul Art Space Sindang is a creative space, specializing in crafts and design, which is operated by Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC). As the only craft residency in Seoul, the artists working with ceramics, metal, fiber, wood, and various other materials are selected to move into this space through an open call. Every year, the center carries out various exhibition activities, including special exhibitions, development of craft products through corporate partnerships and other diverse projects.

In the first week of September, Seoul Art Space Sindang is going to host a very private open studio for VIP guests of KIAF and Frieze Art Fair. In the midst of Korea’s largest art fairs and mega exhibitions, the artists continue to work in their own spaces as usual.

is a private and free tour, created by the artists who are willing to communicate more openly with the audience by revealing the daily life of their art. Participants can walk through the underground shopping district and observe the work in progress in 35 art studios located among the stores in the market. It will be a rare opportunity to take a close look at the studio, samples for production, and idea sketches before they are displayed in the exhibition hall. The experience of looking at unpackaged art offers a unique value, different from what you can experience in an exhibition hall.
