Kiaf SEOUL 2024 presents an exciting showcase of 10 talented artists in the 'Kiaf SEOUL 2024 HIGHLIGHTS' exhibition. Among the 110 talented artists recommended by the galleries participating in Kiaf, a select few were chosen through a 11 to 1 rigorous competition. For this year's selection, the theme of "New Discoveries & Fresh Encounters" guided the decision-making process. A meticulous and unbiased review was conducted by curators, professors, critics, and organizers who are actively involved in the art world.

To give greater emphasis to the participating artists, we have made the decision to reduce the number of participants from 20 to 10 for this year's highlight section. We have carefully chosen artists from diverse fields and backgrounds, including both promising young talents and established mid-career artists who have the potential to become influential figures in the Korean art market in the years to come. The evaluation criteria were centered around artistic merit, originality, and contemporaneity, with a particular emphasis on artists who are either exclusive to participating galleries or highly promoted. In line with this year's theme, 'New Discoveries & Fresh Encounters,' our goal is to highlight artists whose latest works demonstrate innovative possibilities arising from their unique artistic styles and growth. Additionally, we aim to spotlight galleries that have developed exhibition strategies effectively conveying the essence of these artists' creative worlds.
