작년 한 해 새롭게 등장한 NFT(Non-fungible token) 아트에 대한 세간의 관심이 뜨거웠다. 비플의 작품이 크리스티에서 최고의 기록을 세운 후 디지털 자산으로써의 NFT를 향한 투자자들의 관심은 최고조에 달했다. 올해 들어서는 투자대상으로써의 주목보다는 다양한 형식이 시도되는 실험의 장으로 NFT 아트가 미술계에 제자리를 찾아가고 있다. 휘트니 뮤지엄의 큐레이터였으며 현재는 Horizon Art Foundation과 그들이 만든 NFT 플랫폼인 Outland의 Chief Artistic Director 인 크리스토퍼 루, 그리고 뉴욕에서 활동하는 조각가로 이번 Frieze를 통해 NFT 작품을 선보이는 아티스트 베리X볼, 제 57회 베니스비엔날레 한국관의 대표작가로 이름을 알리고 최근 활발한 NFT작업을 선보이고 있는 Cody Choi가 NFT 아트의 가능성과 미래에 대해 토론을 진행한다.

How will NFTs and DAOs change the art market? Mikyung Lee, the Director at WEMADE, which launched a DAO platform to walk away from the existing art markets, and the New York lawyer Kathleen Kim will discuss NFT, DAO, along with the role and the potential of ART DAO in the art market.
