본 토크는 미술 전문지 아트아시아퍼시픽(ArtAsiaPacific, AAP)과 KAMS의 공동기획 도서에 참여한 작가 2인이 참여한다. 이번 대화에는 아프로아시아 관계성을 다학제간으로 연구하며, 한국내 아프리카 이주민들과 공동창작작업을 진행해온 아프로아시아 컬렉티브의 최원준 작가와, 생태와 공동체를 잇는 사회적 실천을 전개하고 있는 작가 그룹 이끼바위쿠르르(ikkibawiKrrr)가 함께한다. 두 작가는 동시대의 문화적·정치적 이슈에 대한 반응, 그리고 국제 미술계 속에서 한국 작가로서의 정체성과 실천을 이야기할 예정이다.

This talk features two artists who contributed to the jointly curated book project by the art magazine ArtAsiaPacific (AAP) and KAMS. Participating in the conversation are CHE Onejoon of the AfroAsia Collective, which has researched Afro-Asian relations through an interdisciplinary approach and carried out collaborative projects with African migrants in Korea, and the artist group ikkibawiKrrr, whose practice connects ecology and community through socially engaged art. Together, the two will discuss their responses to contemporary cultural and political issues, as well as their identities and practices as Korean artists within the international art world.
