Recent Updates and Artistic Activities

Since receiving the Kiaf HIGHLIGHTS award, have you experienced any notable developments or personal changes in your work or practice?

I have had more opportunities to be approached by Korean people about exhibiting, and I have come to see it as a field in which to work. Due to my roots as a Zainichi Chōsenjin (在日朝鮮人)of Japan, I had a somewhat third-person impression of Korea, but I think I have been creating more works that are conscious of Korea as one of my own roots.
