더 물라 멀티 아트 스페이스(The Moolah Multi-Art Space)는 2022년 타이난의 핵심 문화 거리 구화가에 설립되었다.

새로운 형태의 갤러리로서 더 물라 멀티 아트 스페이스는 큐레이팅을 주요한 실천 방법론으로 삼고, 작가의 지속적인 성장을 핵심 가치로 두고 있다. 특히 1980~1990년대 이후 세대를 중심으로, 문화적 경계를 넘나드는 경험과 동시대적 사유의 깊이를 지닌 작가 및 그들의 예술적 실천에 주목한다. 이를 통해 지역의 감각과 경험에 응답하는 동시에 국제적 맥락과 연결되는 예술 실천의 플랫폼을 단계적으로 구축해 나가고 있다.

큐레토리얼 방향은 작품의 개념과 형식이 맺는 관계를 중시하며, 작품이 관람되는 조건과 공적 논의가 형성될 수 있는 가능성을 탐구하는 동시에, 이러한 요소들이 갤러리의 전반적인 발전 전략과 어떻게 연결될 수 있는지를 함께 모색한다.

단기적으로는 작가의 창작 맥락을 보다 심층적으로 제시하는 데 집중하고자 한다. 연구 중심의 전시, 대화와 토론 프로그램, 출판 프로젝트를 통해 작품이 지역적 맥락과 아시아의 문화적 환경 안에서 더욱 명확하게 이해되고, 다양한 담론과 연결될 수 있도록 기반을 강화한다.

중기적으로는 아시아 및 국제적 범위에서 활동하는 큐레이터, 미술관, 연구기관과의 협력을 확대하고, 작가들이 지역을 가로지르는 전시와 학술 교류에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 마련함으로써 안정적이고 지속 가능한 협력 네트워크를 구축하고자 한다.

장기적으로는 상업적 운영 체계와 학술적 연구 사이에서 엄정한 균형을 유지하는 것을 지향한다. 이를 바탕으로 작가들이 국제 컬렉션과 큐레토리얼 담론, 미술사적 서술의 구조 안으로 진입할 수 있도록 지원하며, 미래지향적인 큐레토리얼 관점을 통해 다음 세대가 마주하게 될 문화적·예술적 과제에 응답하고자 한다.

2023년 11월, 더 물라 는 대만화랑협회(Taiwan Art Gallery Association)의 준회원으로 가입했으며, 2025년 11월 정회원 자격을 취득했다.

The Moolah Multi-Art Space was founded in 2022 in Guohua Street, a central cultural district of Tainan, Taiwan.

As a new-generation gallery, The Moolah operates with curatorial practice as its primary methodology and artist development as its core commitment. The gallery focuses on artists born after the 1980s whose practices are informed by cross-cultural experience and sustained contemporary inquiry, gradually establishing a platform that is grounded in local sensibilities while remaining fully legible within international discourses.

Its curatorial direction emphasizes the relationship between conceptual frameworks and formal structures, addressing the conditions of viewing and the potential for public discourse, while aligning individual projects with the gallery’s broader developmental strategy. In the short term, The Moolah concentrates on articulating artists’ practices in greater depth through research-oriented exhibitions, symposia, and publications, strengthening the readability and connectivity of works within local and Asian contexts. In the mid-term, the gallery seeks to expand collaborations with Asian and international curators, museums, and research institutions, enabling artists to participate in cross-regional exhibitions and scholarly exchanges while establishing sustained networks of cooperation. In the long term, The Moolah is committed to maintaining a rigorous balance between commercial operations and academic research, supporting artists’ entry into international collections, curatorial frameworks, and art-historical narratives, and addressing the cultural and artistic questions of future generations through a forward-looking curatorial vision.


In November 2023, The Moolah became an Associate Member of the Taiwan Art Gallery Association, and obtained Full Membership in November 2025.
