Introduction
Cassina Projects has set off on a mission to develop a cross-generational international programme establishing a dialogue between prominent artists, midcareer and emerging positions. Through a multidisciplinary approach and collaborations with institutions, peer galleries, critics and curators, Cassina Projects is devoted to engaging with the contemporary art discourse and championing eloquent voices actively invested in the ongoing debate about the world and society at large.
With an eye to perpetuate and embrace the Milanese historical legacy, in 2019 Cassina Projects took over a 1250 sqm former aircraft factory built in 1920 and converted it into exhibition space. The new premises also include viewing rooms, storage, offices and CP Studio, an independent space dedicated to hosting a residency program for international artists. Relics of industrial architecture meet white cube makeover as solo shows by gallery artists, curated group exhibitions and site-specific projects rotate.
