Fuse is one of the most remarkable artists of his generation, who not only creates artworks but also writes critiques and poems, organizes exhibitions, and produces websites.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-41910\" src=\"https:\/\/static-edge.kiaf.org\/web\/2024\/06\/14142327\/Kuniumi-birth-2024-Inkjet-Prints-227-%C3%97-158-mm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"416\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Kuniumi (birth), 2024, Inkjet Prints, 227\u00d7158mm<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In 2020, he held an online exhibition, \u201cITCCC &#8211; Isolation Type Close Contact Chamber\u201d (a web page that can only be accessed by one person at a time), \u201cDead Corpse\u201d at PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO, and in 2023, \u201cThe Manifest of Isolators\u201d at SNOW Contemporary. In the same year, he released his first book of poetry, \u201cTears Catalog,\u201d which is a compilation of his previous works and includes many new pieces based on the theme of \u201ctears,\u201d and his book \u201cHow to Write a Love Letter,\u201d which thoroughly explored \u201cbeing two people\u201d as an artist living in the present. He also participated in the group exhibition \u201cDoes the Future Sleep Here? \u201d (National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo) with a new installation this year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-41911\" src=\"https:\/\/static-edge.kiaf.org\/web\/2024\/06\/14142404\/Retina-Painting-2021-Spray-paint-on-wooden-panel-410-x-410-%C3%97-20-mm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"494\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Retina Painting, 2021, Spray paint on wooden panel, 410&#215;410\u00d720mm<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this exhibition, \u201cGround and Sex,\u201d Fuse attempts to confront themes full of contrasts and contradictions. In the past, Fuse presented many works on how people interact and communicate with each other, and this time he will deal with a wide range of themes, from humans, living creatures, and mythology to contemporary society, in a multilayered manner. For this exhibition, Fuse has chosen the Kaiho (an artificial fortress with gun emplacements) as the subject of his thinking and is exercising his thoughts and imagination on the events, sacrifices, and products that have occurred over the years.
