[Exhibition Introduction]<\/p>\n

Studying the shapes of objects has been both a longtime task and joy for mankind. Intertwined with everyday life, craft art, in particular, offers various aesthetic experiences at hand. When a useful object is enhanced with beauty, it creates intangible value that transcends time and space. This exhibition showcases special works that require intense artistry, such as geumbak<\/i> (gold leaf), buncheong<\/i> (grayish-blue-powdered celadon), and chaehwa<\/i> (Korean Royal Silk Flower). Join us in the dialogues among the artists who are expanding the scope of craft art by blurring the boundaries of different artistic disciplines: Kim Giho\u00d7Chang Yeonsoon, Lee Kanghyo\u00d7Heryun Kim, Hwang Suro\u00d7GungjungChaehwa<\/i> Seoul Lab.<\/p>\n

(Buncheong Performance)<\/p>\n

[Performance Introduction]<\/p>\n

The highlight of the opening ceremony is the buncheong<\/i> performance by Lee Kanghyo, which will be held in the Seoul Museum of Craft Art at 8:00 pm on September 7th. This performance will be conducted in the form of scattering iron oxide and engobe into a large jar with the rhythm of samulnori<\/i> as the background music. We hope you can feel the improvisational and explosive energy.<\/p>\n
