《Calm Gazes》 Installation View
To mark 2026, Space NAMU Gallery Aurora has selected five emerging artists with original perspectives and senses through the “2026 Special Exhibition on the Selection of Emerging Artists.” The exhibition introduces works that young artists have solved in their own languages and unique ways.
Kang Mihye, The magic tree, 8.5×7.5x16cm, crystal, acrylic on stone clay, 2025
Each artist has his or her own world. The world is not revealed at once. The world, which was slowly formed through constant observation, is different from the reality that we are familiar with. The artist tells the world they have seen through their works.
Kim Hyejin, Every Night, 100.0×80.3, oil on canvas, 2025
The artists look inside themselves, from small and microscopic beings such as grass and jellyfish to unrealistic worlds such as space and dreams, desires and memories. The impressions and thoughts captured in them evoke new and unfamiliar senses for the viewers.
Choi Shin Hee, 혼비중천, Oil on canvas, 116.8×72.7cm, 2025
In this exhibition, “quietness” does not simply mean silence or silence. It refers to a state in which a scene that can be easily passed is held and encountered an unknown world. Therefore, the work of the five artists, Kang Mi-hye, Kim Hye-jin, Lee Soo-yeon, EEpel, and Choi Shin-hee, does not require immediate interpretation from the viewers. The viewers who stay in front of the work experience the world they saw through the eyes of the artist.
EEpeul, 바람에 몸을 맡기고, Oil and oil pastel on canvas, 91.0×72.7cm, 2025
Space NAMU Gallery Aurora wants to discover the creative potential of emerging artists through <Calm Gazes> and spread the artistic message of their works. It will be an important stage to show the public their creative perspectives.
