Fallin’ ISLAND is the first exhibition to be presented at Space Namu Gallery Aurora following the gallery’s recent renovation. This exhibition was planned to expand on the gallery’s previous sensibility, offering a wider range of narratives and perspectives.

Gathering works from artists based in Japan, Taiwan, and Cuba—three island nations that are geographically distant yet culturally rich—Fallin’ ISLAND brings together diverse emotional and artistic expressions shaped by each locale. The exhibition features nine artists: Tanaka Chisato, Fumina Tsutsui, Manabe Masayuki, Shirane Yutanpo, Docto Osmiel, Soral, Cosy, Javier, and ZHENG Chong-xiao.
Although each artist presents a unique lens shaped by their own island experience, they share a common theme: a culture of self-reliance, rather than isolation, and the freedom of artistic expression that transcends physical boundaries.

Much like an island cultivating its own culture away from the mainland, Space Namu Gallery Aurora, situated outside the urban center, continues to experiment with new cultural ideas at its own pace and rhythm.
Fallin’ ISLAND is more than just an exhibition of works from multiple countries—it is an invitation to trace the subtle layers of emotion, perspective, and identity that live within each piece. In doing so, it reminds us of alternative worlds and ways of seeing that we may have overlooked.
We invite you to step away from the familiar and immerse yourself in a new realm of sensory experience. Join us on this journey through Fallin’ ISLAND.
